Rincon Chiropractic has served the San Francisco community since Dr. Marshall Luck founded the practice in 1995. His interest in helping people move and feel better began years earlier while working as a lifeguard and swim instructor, where he saw how movement, confidence, and consistent support can change a person’s health.
After experiencing chiropractic care as a patient, Dr. Luck studied at Palmer College of Chiropractic West. He built Rincon around a patient-centered approach: listen carefully, perform an appropriate evaluation, explain the available options, and tailor care to each person’s needs and goals.
A multidisciplinary practice
Today, Rincon offers chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, shockwave therapy, and Cranial Facial Release. Recommendations depend on the patient’s history, examination findings, preferences, and whether another type of healthcare evaluation is appropriate.
The practice has grown over three decades, but its purpose remains consistent: provide thoughtful, compassionate care and help patients make informed decisions about their health. We are grateful to the patients and families who have trusted Rincon through the years.
Three decades of chiropractic care in San Francisco
Rincon Chiropractic has grown alongside the South of Market and Financial District communities while keeping its focus on individualized, conservative care. The practice now brings chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, and selected complementary services together at its San Francisco clinic. Treatment recommendations are based on each patient’s history, examination findings, goals, and response to care.
A continuing commitment to responsible care
Clinical knowledge and patient expectations have changed during the practice’s history. Rincon continues to update its approach, explain reasonable options, screen for findings that require referral, and avoid promising a particular outcome. The goal is to help patients make informed choices and receive care that fits their needs, preferences, and daily activities.
Evidence and further reading
Over three decades, the practice has continued to pair hands-on care with assessment, patient education, and referral when appropriate. Chiropractic treatment is one conservative option for some musculoskeletal concerns, and the expected benefits and limitations depend on the condition and the individual. Patients should receive clear information and participate in treatment decisions. For an independent overview of spinal manipulation, see NCCIH: Spinal Manipulation—What You Need to Know.
That approach also means revisiting a plan when progress differs from expectations. Care may be adjusted, paused, or coordinated with another clinician based on new information. The goal is to help each patient understand the available options and choose a reasonable next step for their needs.
